Pros and Cons of Living with Another Medic

It’s great to come home and be able to vent to someone who gets your job, who understands the agonizing frustration of playing specialty tennis in ED or the why seeing a CT scan of dextrocardia with bilateral SVCs is both weird and cool. Partner in Climb and I often have our own informal ‘debrief’ when we get home after a tough shift and it’s really helpful when the day has gone awry. Living with another doctor is also useful for exam revision, sharing the trials and tribulations of interviews and applications, and having someone around who at least understands your terrible medical jokes (even if they don’t laugh!).

The downside, of course, is that  Partner in Climb and I have only one weekend off together between now and April.

ships in the nightWell, shit.
