The Dolomites are ‘true’ mountains in every respect – the peaks are harsh, inaccessible places tamed only occasionally by the iron roads of via ferrata. Even in July there was snow aplenty on the higher slopes and Partner in Climb and I were turned back by the conditions on more than one occasion. Even with these restrictions, there is so much to do and so much to see that it cannot be covered in a single week. I even find it a little difficult to sum up in words, and as such I will simply post a limited few pictures and let you figure out what needs to be said for yourself. Click to expand.
