Boring story: When I was younger I bought a t-shirt with a big, stylised, flame-red fish on it. I loved the shirt, but it was huge and draped awkwardly over my gangly adolescent frame. Even though the shirt itself was rather grand, I never quite felt at home in it. Eventually, I grew into the shirt and it ended up fitting me rather better.
Metaphorical twist: I’m a doctor now.
It’s weird when you achieve something you’ve worked towards for half a decade.
